As a deal for Cristiano Ronaldo to move to Juventus draws ever closer, his agent, Jorge Mendes, gave some cryptic quotes to Portuguese media.
Bookmakers have slashed odds on the bianconeri being Ronaldo's next destination and fuel has been added to the fire.
"If it happens, it will be a new chapter and a new challenge in his brilliant career," Mendes said to Record, who met with Real Madrid on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the future of the Portuguese star.
"If Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Real Madrid, he will remain eternally grateful to the club, the president, all the staff without exception, as well as the Madrid fans throughout the world."
