Antonio Adan has moved from Real Betis to Atletico Madrid, signing a two-year deal with Los Rojiblancos.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper had one year remaining on his Real Betis contract and the Andalusian club will receive a fee of one million euros.
Getafe and Sporting CP were also interested in the player, but he has opted to move to the Spanish capital, his hometown and the city where he started his career, in the Real Madrid academy.
Adan, who was keen to leave Betis before the start of their pre-season on July 6, is logically set to be the second-choice goalkeeper, behind Jan Oblak.
